Empower: The Campaign for
Northeastern University
During my time at Northeastern University, I designed communications and event branding for 17 highly-produced campaign events in 14 cities around the globe that showcased Northeastern's talented students, faculty, and innovative research to over 6,000 alumni, parents, and friends.
I collaborated with event directors on event production and execution including creative planning, vendor and site selection, decor, audio visual needs, photography, and post-event analysis.

Exhibit Design
Each Empower event had it’s own unique spin – based on location, attendees, and content. We featured alumni, undergraduate and graduate students, and professors, showcasing their research, initiatives, and innovations. I was responsible for gathering their content and repurposing it to be digested by event attendees in a cocktail setting. This often included a backdrop, screen content and table top signage.
Large Scale Production
These events often took place in venues that were a blank canvas, allowing us to come in and truly transform the space, creating our own floor plan. This would involve multiple site visits, working with producers and other vendors to bring in customized branded displays, signage, and backdrops, etc. I would be involved from start to finish – sketching, designing, printing, load-in and load-out.
Printed Communications & Collateral
Of course we had to get attendees excited about these events, and that started with the first touch point of a save-the-date. We had the opportunity to create high-quality, truly special printed pieces that would surprise and delight the recipients. Each event also required a printed guide for attendees to learn more about the exhibits and the Empower campaign.
