You’re likely here because you’re a respected member of my personal or professional network, or let’s be a real, a hiring manager. Whatever your reason, I’m glad you’re here. The data says “about” pages are often the most visited on portfolio sites, so I better make this interesting. Hopefully you’ve taken some time to check out my work too. I’m pretty proud of it!
As promised, here’s a little (or maybe a lot, depending on your perspective), about me. What can you learn here that you won’t see on my résumé or LinkedIn profile? Well, I’m lucky to have had all four of my grandparents be in my life until I was thirty. Although I never lived in the same country as any of them, they all greatly influenced my passion for creativity. From professional seamstress and fashion designer, to lifetime patent draftsman (earning an MBE), to carpenter, to knitter and quilter, each grandparent taught me the value and joy of earning a living in a creative field, as well as the importance of a creative hobby. I cherished the time I spent with each one of them, and a photo of all four on vacation in Prague together sits prominently in my office to inspire me as I work.
But wait, there’s more!
I grew up on the Connecticut coast, and spent my childhood cartwheeling from boat to beach, flexing my creative muscles in between. Upon high school graduation, I ventured up to Boston to attend Northeastern University where I studied both marketing and graphic design. I have since grown my career in higher education and software industries.
When I’m not at my desk, I’m exploring Cambridge parks with my toddler, cooking new recipes with my husband, or binge watching a new show while knitting.
Thanks for visiting, (don’t forget to check out my work!) and let’s chat soon.
